Pronto through the ages

Originally started by Paul Stephens in 1989 with a single van, Pronto grew to become one of the largest privately owned vehicle hire businesses in South Wales. In 2000 the company moved from Western to Pontygwindy Industrial estate in Caerphilly where it is still based today. If you live in the area you will be familiar with the vans bearing the famous PRONTO driving around Cardiff and Newport, up the valleys and back and forth down the M4.

Alongside the commercial vehicles, Paul started to build up the leisure side of the business focusing on luxury motorhomes. Pronto Motorhomes is now well established and boasts a fantastic line-up of luxury motorhomes for hire.

After twenty-six years at the helm, Paul decided to call it a day in 2015 and the Pronto fleet was acquired privately by Naunton Dickins who is now managing the business. The key to any good business are the people and he is fortunate to be supported by the original team, many of whom have worked for Pronto since the early days.

Under new management, Pronto is growing. New vehicles are arriving all the time and the company has a brand new look! Our customers still enjoy the friendly and professional service but we’re now using the latest technology to make the booking in and out as seamless and straightforward as possible.
